Please read these terms carefully before using this website or engaging Hillary Zitha Life Coach for coaching services. By using this website or booking a session, you agree to these terms.

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website at https://hillaryzitha.co.za and any coaching services provided by Hillary Zitha Life Coach (“we”, “us”, “our”, or “Hillary”).

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).

2. The Nature of Life Coaching

It is important that you understand what life coaching is and is not before engaging our services.

  • Life coaching is a forward-focused, goal-oriented partnership between coach and client. It is designed to help you gain clarity, build confidence, and take meaningful action toward your goals.
  • Life coaching is not therapy, counselling, psychotherapy, or any form of mental health treatment. It does not diagnose, treat, or manage mental health conditions.
  • If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or require clinical support, we strongly encourage you to seek help from a qualified mental health professional. We are happy to help you find appropriate referrals.
  • Coaching outcomes depend significantly on your own engagement, effort, and commitment. We cannot guarantee specific results.

3. Booking and Appointments

Discovery calls

Free 30-minute discovery calls are offered without obligation. Booking a discovery call does not constitute an agreement to purchase coaching services.

Paid sessions

Paid coaching engagements begin once both parties have agreed to proceed, a coaching agreement has been signed, and any deposit or first payment has been received.

Cancellations and rescheduling

  • We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be forfeited and counted as a completed session, at our discretion.
  • If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer an alternative time at no additional cost.
  • In the event of a genuine emergency on either side, we will handle rescheduling with flexibility and compassion.

4. Payment

  • Fees for coaching programmes and services are communicated before any agreement is entered into.
  • Where a payment plan is offered, each instalment is due on the agreed date. Missed payments may result in sessions being paused until the account is up to date.
  • All fees are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Payments are non-refundable once a session has taken place.

Refunds

If you wish to discontinue a coaching programme before completion:

  • Sessions already completed will be charged at the full per-session rate
  • Any remaining balance for unused sessions will be refunded within 14 business days
  • This is without prejudice to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act

5. Confidentiality

Everything you share in a coaching session is treated with complete confidentiality. We will not disclose the content of your sessions to any third party without your explicit consent, except:

  • Where we are required to do so by law
  • Where there is a reasonable belief of risk to your safety or the safety of others

We ask that you respect the same confidentiality in return — any information shared about our coaching methods, materials, or business processes is for your personal use only.

6. Your Responsibilities as a Client

To get the most from coaching and to protect both of us, we ask that you:

  • Engage honestly and openly in sessions
  • Take responsibility for your own decisions and actions — coaching is a partnership, not a prescription
  • Inform us if your circumstances change in a way that might affect the coaching relationship
  • Notify us promptly if you wish to end the coaching engagement
  • Treat our interactions with mutual respect

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, design, and coaching frameworks — is the intellectual property of Hillary Zitha Life Coach unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. Personal, non-commercial use is permitted with attribution.

8. Website Use

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Use the website in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws
  • Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its related systems

We reserve the right to restrict access to this website at any time without notice.
